Coping with Seasonal Depression: Self-Care Kits and Community Resources

Post by Dorothy »

The winter makes me wanna hibernate. 🥶 During this time, my self-care kits are fuzzy socks and hot cocoa. I don't drink alcohol at all.

What’s in yours? Also, do you know any free online groups for seasonal depression?

My gf is the same, best thing to do is focus on what brings you joy and hopefully have someone to help you out.

Depression is real and coping with it could be challenging. I explore online support groups and mental health resources as they provide additional support and help me escape from depression.

It is very tough to cope with seasonal depression but I found that focusing on activities that bring me joy can make a big difference and that is what I've been adopting ever since I discovered it.

It's good to have things that make you feel a bit better when going through seasonal depression.

I hike, bike, camp, and enjoy the outdoors year-round.

S.A.D. is non-existent for me.

If you can do what you love all year-round, try to do just that. Even if that means doing it inside. Figure out a way to keep doing what makes you really happy.

And then load yourself up. We get depressed when we get bored.
