Dealing with mental health during the Holidays

Post by Ravenfreak »

We just made it past Thanksgiving here in the United States. Some of the bigger Holidays like Hannukah, and Christmas are just around the corner. This time of year can be very hard for those who have mental health issues. What do you do to help keep your spirit up during this time of the year?

I used to be this way back when I was alone and single.

It was so depressing that I would work during it. Get time and a half and just work through it.

Once I started hiking, even still being single, I'd take it off and just hike that day. I'd usually get busier spots all to myself which was rare.

Now that I'm married, we look forward to having a family get together. It's easier now.

Find someone. Don't be alone.

You're absolutely right! Loneliness really does kill, it either leads you down a destructive path or unfortunately dead. Even if you don't have a romantic partner, chilling with friends can definitely help.

Yep and there are plenty of people to meet to hang out with on the holidays.

Don't do it alone.
