Writing and stress

Post by HikerShawn »

Writing has always helped me destress and cope with negative moods.

I'll get so into the writing that I forget my world problems. I end up feeling relaxed and at peace when I'm finished. Now that I'm an everyday write (pretty much), I hardly have stress.

Does writing do this for you all? If not, what does?

Writing doesn't really calm me down, but if I work on my projects it tends to help me cope with the stress of life. Heck even just working and listening to music helps keep me motivated and in the zone.

Music is a big one for people.

Writing is pretty much my music. I get a writer's high almost. It generally puts me in a better mood.
