I'm going to the DR tomorrow for a wellness checkup to keep my insurance premium low.
I'll also be getting my blood pressure checked.
But I'm also going to schedule a colonoscopy. Usually, you do that in your 50s. I'm 41. But I have a lot of family who die from colon and stomach cancers. They say I'm high risk. I also have GERD and IBS-C which makes me even more higher risk.
So, a colonoscopy is better for me to be done right now.
Have any of you went through it? Any tips?

Re: Colonoscopy
I haven't gone through it yet, but I know it is far from pleasant. I know on the day you prep for it (the drink that makes you go and go and go some more), make zero plans other than hug your toilet all day. After everything is said and done, be ready to enjoy soup for a day or two as you get your stomach back.
