I believe that permanent separation is key to moving on from a break up. No contact and deleting old messages makes a big difference. Make sure to focus on new hobbies, meditate all the time and engage in some workouts.
Healing for me begin when I start to pen down my feelings. I also make sure to let go of the "what-ifs" How did you pull through the process of getting over a past relationship?

How to actually move on from someone?
Re: How to actually move on from someone?
It is never easy to move on and but it could be faster when you come to terms with the truth. I stopped thinking about the past and I told myself why I had to drop it. With time, you’ll get over it.

To move on, it need forgiveness to the other person, as well as myself. That way, I can easily forge ahead.

Honestly, when you stop thinking about them and delete all their pictures from phone, stop texting them etc.
Moving on from someone isn't particular easy, especially if ya'll were together for a long time. The only way to truly move on is by dating someone new.

It can be tough at times to move on from a person. Unless you both left on good mutual terms. It's best to delete their contact information from your phone, remove them from social media and try to focus on things you enjoy doing to keep them out of sight out of mind.
