How do I make myself talkative?

Post by Dorothy »

To become talkative, you need to break out of your shell and prepare your mind ahead. Also, you must be ready to ask different kinds of open-ended questions and also listen actively. Engage yourself in conversations often to build your confidence.

Are you talkative? If so, how did you become one?

Yes, it's very possible to make yourself talkative by initiating small talks with people I am comfortable with. The more I talked the easier it was. And that practice has been really helpful.

I try to bserve the people that talk a lot and I observe how they talk. Then I attempt to emulate them when I'm alone and with my friends. Little by little, I began to see positive results.

I used to be a very shy guy, I rarely talked to anyone. Once I got a job in retail though, I really broke out of my shell. I was basically forced to talk with others because I had to talk to customers as they came to my checkout line. I think this is the best way to break out of your shell.

Becoming a part of group activities like book club can make a big difference, especially if you participate actively in them. You can also learn from people during communication.
