Group hikes

Post by HikerShawn »

Have you ever been on a group hike where others guide you, so you don't get lost?

If so, where did you go?

Do you like these types of hikes, even with so many strangers?

I would love to go on a group hike someday! You can learn the history of the trails you're hiking when you have a trail guide and plus you have less of a chance to get lost too lol.

Nah, never hiked with a group before, I like to walk at my own pace.

Back in primary school I have done it yes – at the reservoir where I learned the person at the back would carry map while the leader would ask that person for directions.

I lead group hikes. For the slower hikers, I like to put them up front so they can sort of set the pace of the group. But faster hikers usually want to go do their own thing.
