Swimming
Are any of you into swimming for the reason of fitness?
I'm not a good swimmer but I can get in a pool and walk with the drag of the water to "wok out" and help give my body a full workout. They say swimming is one of the best ways to get a full-body workout.
What do you think? Is it something you do for fitness?

Re: Swimming
I wish I could do laps as in swimming them.
I've never been a good swimmer, though. I need to go to one of those adult swim lesson courses and learn. I'm not embarrassed simply because learning it could be lifesaving at some point.
Do any of you struggle with swimming at all?

Re: Swimming
I wish I had a pool where I live, I would go swimming more often if I did. But I live on the top of a hill, and there's no good place to install a pool whether it's an above ground or bellow ground pool. I suppose I could go to the local rec center.

It literally works out your entire body. It's probably one of the best forms of cardio out there.Demon_skeith wrote: Tue Oct 07, 2025 6:00 am Me and my fiancee are about to get into swimming, figured it help us stay in shape.
I just get so hungry after being in the pool LOL

Re: Swimming
Yep there's no reason to go crazy and try to do laps as fast as he can, just swim and do light water aerobics since it's easier on your joints when you're in water.OMNIVOR wrote: Mon Oct 20, 2025 12:40 am You don't have to be Michael Phelps to be a hero – just go by own pace.

Helps that the water takes any gravity weight off of the body as well.HikerShawn wrote: Wed Oct 08, 2025 6:15 pmIt literally works out your entire body. Re: Swimming
I just need to actually try to learn and swim so I can get the full advantage of it.
