People can do a lot in terms of health and fitness.
At 350 pounds, two packs of cigarettes a day, I biked every single day for about 20 to 60 miles a day on hilly routes. I didn't think I could do that until I tried. Technically, I was obese back then.
I think a lot of people who are overweight underestimate what they can do, and that stops them from trying.
How do you all feel about this topic?
Do you think many plus size people underestimate their fitness?

I think they do, they just need some focus and a reason to get working out.

I believe they do, society is constantly harassing plus size people and it doesn't help their self esteem so they believe they don't have good fitness and don't try working out.

Re: Do you think many plus size people underestimate their fitness?
I think many plus size folks miss a lot of healthy opportunities because they don't realize their potential.
It's easy to do that though when you're being bullied as Raven pointed out.
I guess it means you need a good network of plus size friends around you to help keep you motivated.
