Is anyone into kayaking at all?
If so, what kind of kayak do you prefer? Sit on top or sit in?
What type of kayaking are you into? Lakes with no wake, lakes with no restrictions, or flowing water like creeks and rivers. Are any of your ocean kayakers?

It's a lot of fun.Ravenfreak wrote: Sun Sep 28, 2025 10:21 pm I think it'd be cool to go kayaking at some point in my life, I've never been!
My tip is to start out on a lake or pond that has restrictions on wake. This way you have nothing to fight against.
For plus size folks, I definitely recommend longer sit-on-top kayaks as they'll be easier to get in and out of and harder to tip over.
I've not tipped mine over yet!
