Avatar sizes

Post by KevinBoyle1981 »

I think the checkpoints of being ask to resize avatar ourselves is a bit unnecessary, maybe setting to automatic resize would do the trick so that way large avatars can cut down to size automatically instead of us having to go back to the resize website and guessing sizes until we get it right??

I understand your point my friend. The minimum is 20×20 px while max is 90× 90 px.

I agree! Automatic resizing would save time and hassle, eliminating the need to guess dimensions on external websites repeatedly.

I love adding an avatar, but I literally had to take an image and use MS Paint to cut it way down to under 6-k. It seems like it's only phpBB forums that I have to do this one.

Is there a setting to allow for resizing?

Unfortunately phpBB doesn't do this natively yet. This is a feature that's been asked for in the past and the devs still haven't added it to the core system. There's an extension that is on this forum and there's also instructions on how to install it. It's definitely worth getting it install here. (I should install it on my phpBB forum too lol.)
