I'm always on a lookout for to eating healthy on a budget. Sometimes, I eat frozen veggies and canned beans. I also make a $50 weekly meal plan with Trader Joe’s chicken.

For me, my budget friendly meal idea includes going for affordable proteins like chicken and canned beans. I also buy in bulk to minimize expenses as well.

It is quite challenging to eat healthy on a budget but that doesn't mean it is not doable. Buying in bulk, planning mails around proteins that are quite affordable can be a way out.Louise wrote: Fri May 23, 2025 7:16 pm For me, my budget friendly meal idea includes going for affordable proteins like chicken and canned beans. You can go to Dollar Tree and find some very cheap cans of vegetables. They also have frozen blends you can get as well. I watch Dollar Tree Dinners on youtube to get ideas for meals. She's made a few healthy meals.

I like wraps.
I get the whole grain tortia (sp?) wraps from SAMS CLUB here in the States. They're the smaller type. I'll either put peanut butter in them or some low-fat turkey lunchmeat, cheese and some sort of low-fat salad dressing for a boost in taste. They're easy to prepare and meal prep, eat, and take with you on walks and hikes and such.
And it's really cheap which these days is a big deal for us all!
