Swimming can be a good way to get some exercise. Being in the water puts less weight on your body, and it's easier to move around in water too when you're plus size. Another good exercise are sitting exercises that strengthen your arms.

I'm also for swimming, it's a pretty good way to get moving and shave off weight.

I would say any exercise that gets your heart rate increasing. You want to make sure what you're doing is intensive enough to increase your heart rate. That is going to help your body burn more calories and fat.

A lot of people don't push it when working out and that usually results in failure.

You don't have to push it until you're about the drop but it is working out, you should feel like you've worked out.
