As an apple-shaped body, I know just how much a struggle it could be to find flattering styles. But I have learned a trick or two! For instance, I love to wear high-waisted jeans to accentuate the waist a bit more.
What are some of your favorite tips to help balance the top half and bottom half? Do you have any particular brands that work for apple-shaped bodies?

Re: Plus-Size Style Challenges: Solutions for Apple-Shaped Bodies
I have a friend with an apple shaped body and she tried high waisted pants and belted dresses and it works so well. You can also try V-necks to draw attention away from the mid-section as well.

You are absolutely right. I also found high waisted pants, belted dress and v-neck to be very appealing. These would draw attention and it will create a more balanced look.Robinson wrote: Tue May 20, 2025 10:47 am I have a friend with an apple shaped body and she tried high waisted pants and belted dresses and it works so well. I agree with you on high-waisted jeans for apple-shaped bodies. Tops that skim over the midsection are also very good as they do not make the midsection conspicuous. Has anyone tried high-waisted options from ASOS Curve?

I love V-neck tops. Another way to draw attention away from the mid-section is to combine flowy tops with fitted bottoms. Lane Bryant offer trendy dresses that can cater for apple-shaped bodies.Robinson wrote: Tue May 20, 2025 10:47 am I have a friend with an apple shaped body and she tried high waisted pants and belted dresses and it works so well. High waist jeans work really well for women who have apple shaped bodies. My wife doesn't have an apple shape one, she's got a pear shape.
