Have you ever had co workers treat you differently for being overweight?

As the title of the thread asks, have you ever had any issues with coworkers treating you differently for being overweight? I've thankfully never had this problem before, and I work in an office now so a good number of my coworkers are on the heavier side.

It's against the law to bully in a workplace – should someone be bullied it should be reported not only to boss but also police.

No, but I've seen people talking behind other people's backs. It's rather sad.

Yeah.

I had a helper when I was a machine operator. He was in good shape and was into weightlifting. He always had something negative to say about my weight and health. I smoked back then. He wasn't being uplifting; he was just being a jerk.

Last I knew, he eventually started using THC and got addicted to it enough to quit working out.

Now I'm a lot healthier and I've been a non-smoker for years.

Funny how the tables turn in life.

Keeping yourself healthy and doing fun things leads to lots of good things in life.

100%

I started biking and hiking, two things that don't even feel like exercise. That saved me. Sure, I still have some unwanted weight but I'm way more active and fit than I was before.

They do say karma comes back to bite you if you're a negative person, and since he treated you poorly it seems like this happened to him lol. Sucks you had to deal with him treating you like that but I'm glad you're doing much better now than you were back then!

Trying to help someone get into good activity, but battling a lot of depression due to how they are treated by co-workers.

It's hard.

My advice isn't always good advice for that circumstance. It's to "quit wasting your energy on someone who is trying to steal your energy".

Start treating you like you are your best friend and the rest should never really matter.

In a situation like this – report to your bosses and see that they face consequences.
If it's a serious situation report to Police.
