How did you overcome the struggle to look at yourself in the mirror?

I'm sure there was a time where you couldn't look at yourself in the mirror. You would be disgusted with what you seen, and bad thoughts probably filled your head. How did you over come this? Are you still struggling to overcome this?

By reminding myself that a better person can look into the mirror one day.

I don't say this to make fun...
But I've seen some people who are so obese that life must be extremely uncomfortable for them and painful. These people can barely walk. They need help bathing.
I get reminded of that and then look in the mirror and think life isn't so hard after all.

Not bad, thinking how things could be worse.

There is always a worse.
I love hiking. I can get out there and hike all day long. My extra weight does make it challenging, though.
However, I know people who are very large, diabetic, and have had to lose limbs because of it. They're not going hiking.
That could be me. It could be worse.

Yeah things can get worse, and be worse. That's a good way to look at things and remind yourself that you're still able to do things that many people cannot.
