How to deal with your anger

At times I tend to get angry. I used to have even worse anger management skills when I was a kid, I was and still am a sore loser but not as bad as I used to be. I've mellowed out a bit but when I get angry it can be bad. (I don't physically hurt anyone or break things but I do say some nasty things at times.) How do you deal with your anger?

I just try to think of a legit reason why I got angry.

I get angry at bad drivers a lot. I have vocal road rage by them, meaning I cuss them, but not in front of them, and I don't drive crazy.

Lately, I just tell myself, maybe they're just truly dumb and can't help it, LOL.

I feel better when I think about that.

That was a big problem in my life in the past. I used to get mad at that simplest of things very quickly, especially when something upset me or when I'm held up in a terrible traffic. Those things really test my patience. But over time, I learned to just breathe and walk away. Sometimes I listen to music or gist with someone to calm myself down and that did excellently well for me. If you hold your anger issues too long, it would mess with your peace.

Lol Road Rage is a thing for sure, we've got crazy drivers around the St. Louis area! I don't blame you for getting mad at other drivers at times. Definitely best that you keep the cussing to yourself though, there's crazy people out there that hurt others, you wouldn't want to encounter someone who has a weapon who can hurt you.

When in bad moods I stay off the forums until in a good mood.

I've been trying to make up reasons why people drive badly to help control my rage LOL

If they get up on my back side and then pass me quickly, instead of break checking them and then speeding up where they can't pass, I just assume they got a cramp in their middle toes and it's the only way they can work it out

LOL

Oh yeah it's a good thing to not post on forums or any social media in general when you're in a bad mood. I know I don't, I'm afraid I might say something that I will regret.

All the more reason why to avoid rubbish forums where very rude members gang up on someone for no reason with disrespectful things like "Oh look a random newb decided to invade us – who the hell is this wierdo?" among other cruel remarks.
It's just like working in a store – you would never tell customers "State your purpose for being here or get lost creep!" which is actually against the law and can lead to hefty fines and getting fired.
Should a shop staff member say that to you – report to security.

Take a deep breath, walk away and do something that brings you a smile, it's the best thing you can do.

That's really it.

Collect yourself and move on. If you can cut that person or thing from your life, too, then do that. Or I think it will eventually come to a head.
