Rollercoasters and Being Plus Sized

So most of us bigger folk unfortunately cannot ride most rides. There are some plus sized friendly rides at Disney World I've heard, but I haven't been there since I was a kid and I wasn't big back then. What do you do in situations when your friends or family want to ride rollercoasters? Do you sit it out so you won't be embarrassed if you're too big to ride or do you try to do research prior to going to a amusement park?

Those rollercoasters are not friendly with plus-size people at all . I remember going to one and the seat belt nearly cut my breath. Still, I think more amusement parks should design rides for big people. We also want to feel that adrenaline.

I don't do rollercoasters at normal weight, I wouldn't get on overweight either.

Heights don't bother me but being sped around up and down and upside down does bother me.
I think rollercoasters need to be fair for short and tall, skinny and big.
But a big no thanks from me, nonetheless!

When I was skinnier I didn't like riding rollercoasters much lol. There was one that my wife and I would ride, which was the Mine Train at Six Flags St. Louis. Other than that I didn't really like other ones, since I'm afraid of heights. Also I rode the Ninja once and my neck hurt afterwards.

I didn't cry but my buddy said I leaned into him the entire time. LOL
I didn't even realize it!
Haven't been on one since I was 18. I'm 41 now. I'm too old for them LOL that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!

Most likely it was the force that was tossing you around.

I recently watched a video of a few ride/rollercoaster malfunctions and that is also keeping me from wanting to go back on rollercoasters lol. So even if I do lose weight and can fit in them, I think I'll pass. :V
