Therapy can be good for many people who suffer from mental issues and anxiety.
Do any of you have therapy? If so, how often do you visit a therapist? Has it helped?

I just don't trust it.
I have a really hard time trusting doctors and medicine. I always assume there are more negative intentions. I'm not paranoid or anything like that, I just think it's more about money than actually helping people.
That has kept me away from any kind of counseling.

Sadly, half the battle is finding someone who can help and not with pills.

I had a therapist, you need to have one when you're medically transitioning and go through the proper diagnoses. I haven't talked to her in over a year though. She would constantly be late to our online sessions, so eventually I stopped seeing her. Since I'm on the medications and have a endocrinologist, I don't need to see her. I might have to find another therapist when I get surgery but I still need to save up for that.

Was it through an online service, like Better Help? Or did the online part just happen because that's the thing now?

It was more convenient for me. I found her through a local therapist office, she quit the office and started her own practice. This was also during Covid times so it was better to meet over Facetime. I don't trust Better Help personally, I've heard bad things about the service.

Better Help really spends a lot of money on advertising.
I see a lot of YouTubers promoting it. I don't think I could do it with my brand. I'd likely skip that promotion request.

Yeah it's best you don't take that sponsorship if they ever offer it. It's a shady company and I get people need that money for their channels but I wouldn't feel good about promoting a company that doesn't do a good job especially when it comes to something like this. It's one thing if it's just a pair of earbuds, aka Raycons which are crap but it's just a tangible item that doesn't do harm lol.

I'm super picky about sponsorships on my channel.
I won't accept them unless they're relevant to my niche and I trust using them. Now because of that, I probably don't make as much money as I could, but I don't feel like a sellout, either.
