Positivity does not really mean you ignore problems, it means choosing hope even when you know that things are very tough. Speak kindly to yourself and to others as well and fill your space with things and people that inspire you or make you happy.
It's also necessary to let go of what you cannot control and focus on what you can, practicing daily gratitude and celebrating small wins also go a long way as well.
