Navigating Body Positivity in Relationships: How to Communicate Needs and Build Confidence

Post by Louise »

I’ve always loved to feel good in my body shape and in my skin when I’m around my partner but I struggle to say ‘no’ when they want me to take pictures with them. I just don't feel comfortable. 😣

Do y’all have any tips for building confidence?

To navigate body positivity in relationship as plus size, I make open and honest communication a priority with my partner. When it comes to taking a picture, it is important to let him know that you're not comfortable with it because it is okay to set boundaries and prioritize your own feelings too.

What I do is communicate my feelings with my partner. I know sometimes it could be hard to say no when it comes to taking pictures but I deserve to feel comfortable too.
